Frequently Asked Questions

Rotary LEAD Fellowship’s mission is to strengthen the leadership skills of our fellowship’s members by offering digital resources, leadership events, workshops, mentoring, and roundtable conversations. We grow together by empowering our fellowship’s members to teach other members what they have learned about leadership through their careers and their personal lives. By being a platform to give our members a voice on leadership topics, we will be able to exchange leadership ideas and strengthen our collective knowledge on leadership topics.

Yes! We are an officially recognized and chartered Rotary Fellowship with Rotary International as of May 2021! We are listed on Rotary.org’s Rotary Fellowship page as “Leadership.”

The cost of membership is US$25 for the first year and US$15 for every renewal year after that. Membership dues help go towards covering our operational costs as a fellowship, helping us expand our online service offerings, and jumpstarting our in-person events.

Members who join and pay before September 3, 2022 are awarded Charter Member recognition status.

Anyone interested in leadership development can become a member of this Rotary Fellowship. No Rotary or Rotaract membership is necessary. We accept members from every country.

Our goal is to put on a variety of leadership education events, including both an annual retreat and online classroom sessions, designed to help all leaders – not just Rotarians and Rotaractors – think outside of the box. The biggest difference between our Rotary Fellowship and what Rotary/Rotaract leaders learn from their training events is that all of our topics and events will focus on leadership development training and not Rotary/Rotaract-specific training. For example, you may learn about how to prevent volunteer burnout in our Rotary LEAD Fellowship, but you will not learn about how to be a Rotary club president.

All of the programs we offer are designed to make our fellowship’s members stronger leaders, by learning from each other.

The Rotary LEAD Fellowship is currently spearheaded by Rotarians Mitty Chang of the Rotary eClub of Silicon Valley (USA), Rebecca Fry of the Rotary Social Impact Network (Australia), and Flo Wackermann of the Rotary Club of Germering (Germany). Rotary Fellowship LEAD’s initial leadership will comprise of interested charter members.
